Led end-to-end systems engineering for a new threat detection platform targeting sports arenas, health facilities and potentially aerospace infrastructure. Scope covered requirements capture, system architecture, hardware and firmware specification, regulatory planning, and NPI support through to manufacturing readiness and production.

Performed detailed RF link-budget analysis, system-level trade studies and evaluation of analog and digital platforms and antennas for physical threat detection. Deliverables included system architecture designs, antenna artifact analysis, test and validation reports, performance evaluations, product way forward, and 3 patent submissions.

Developed an RF Jamming system and managed the verification process for compliance with IEEE C95 guidelines for human exposure to RF energy, MIL-STD-461 EMC and MIL-STD-810G environmental testing. Coordinated and conducted in-field human exposure testing to RF energy, prepared technical files, liaised with stakeholders, and addressed their concerns about users of the equipment claiming health concerns were not related to high power; tested and deployed the product successfully.

Provided technical documentation and regulatory strategy support for a Class I and II software as a medical device (SaMD) seeking Health Canada and FDA clearance. Deliverables included a review of the Health Canada guidelines and initial compliance requirements, and a go/no-go decision.

Leading the hardware engineering function for an FPGA-based USB data switching platform for a consumer application. Work included developing categorized requirements, building a certification roadmap, architecting the solution design, and finalizing the high-speed PCB stack-up for manufacturing.

Supported a detailed patent application for a novel digital health technology and provided technical support through two rounds of USPTO office action responses. Deliverables included claim drafting support, prior-art analysis, critical review, testimonial claims, and technical declarations used to distinguish the invention.
